Remembering our loved ones during the month of November is very important. We don't know if they are in heaven and our prayers can help them gain eternal life with God Our Father. We can do this by praying an 'Eternal Rest' each day for thier souls:
Eternal rest, grant unto him/her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him/her.
May s/he rest in peace. Amen.
May his/her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
We can also add their names to our parish 'Book of Remembrance'; speak with your priest or look out for envelopes at the back of your church. They will be remembered at each Holy Mass during the month of November.
Also offer a prayer for those whom have no one here to pray for them, the little offerings we can give will benefit those souls greatly. You never know when it will be our own souls in need of such prayers for eternal salvation.
St Conval's Cemetery Mass will be held on Sunday 4th November at 2pm for all those who are resting there, remembering especially the centenary of those who lost their life in WW1.
