Bishop Keenan opened the Summer Fete at St Francis' parish in Port Glasgow by throwing the ceremonial sponge and soaking the Parish Priest, Fr Matthew Carlin.

The parish community raised an incredible £2519 on Saturday 5th August 2023, at the annual Summer Fete. Bishop Keenan opened the fete by throwing the ceremonial first sponge at Fr Matthew, but it wasn't the only time his face was washed that day!
