This year’s theme suggests nobody has to look far to find hope, it’s on the doorstep, it’s closer than we think.
Hope Within highlights the gifts, talents and potential within prisons, within communities, and within ourselves.
Prisoners Week is an initiative of the Churches that aims to stimulate discussion, highlight concerns and share hope, in prisons and communities across Scotland. It takes place in the third week of November and offers a time to remember all who are affected by crime: people in prison, people who have been hurt by the actions of others, those who work in prison, families and the wider communities in which we live.
The
National Launch Service for Prisoners Week will take place at 18.30 on
Monday 20th November in St Margaret’s, Drip Road, Stirling FK9 4UA, followed by refreshments. The Service is ecumenical and all are welcome. Local community and prison events also celebrate the week.
