Responding to the Holy Father's call for a time of prayer in preparation for the Holy Year, there will be a time of prayer on three Wednesdays in Lent in St Mary's Greenock.
Our Holy Father has called a Holy Year for 2025. In preparation he has asked that the whole Church prepare in a spiritual way by the deepening of the life of prayer.
Lent is a good time for us to start that preparation by deepening our own personal life of prayer and by reinforcing the prayer life of our parishes.
On three Wednesdays in March, 6th, 13th and 20th March beginning at 7pm, there will be an evening hour of retreat in St Mary’s in Greenock to encourage our life of prayer and help us reflect upon the major gospel passages associated with Lent from the earliest times: the woman at the well, the man born blind, and the raising of Lazarus.
All are welcome to join either in-person or online.
