Faith in the North: Reviving Cultures

Faith In The North: Reviving Cultures, an exciting event held at Pluscarden Abbey between 3 – 5 May 2019 focusing on “How can the Church increase involvement in the flourishing of Scottish Culture?” and “How can elements of the Scottish culture spread the message of the Gospel?”

The weekend will combine Lectures, Faith, Food and Scottish Culture.

Special Guests include:

• Bishop Hugh Gilbert, OSB (Bishop of Aberdeen) – The Correspondence of Faith and Culture
• Andreas Wolff (BBC ALBA Correspondent and Scottish Catholic Observer Columnist) –  Current Issues in the Gaelic Revival
• Linden Bicket (Senior Teaching Fellow University of Edinburgh) – George MacKay Brown and the Catholic Imagination
• Lesley Findlay (Writer & Journalist) – Figures of the Scottish Catholic Cultural Revival
• Ian MacGillivray (Commander of Clan MacGillivray) – Traditional Scottish Music Concert
