CANCELLED - Praying for persecuted Christians all over the world - Vespers of St. Paul
This term is derived from the Latin word vespera, which means “evening,” and so the service is also known as Evening Prayer. By offering praise to God at these designated times, the Church heeds St. Paul’s exhortation to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and in this way consecrates all time and activity to God.
