September 5, 2017Throughout our Paisley Synod the Holy Spirit confirmed His will for us to become a diocese of new evangelisation, renewing our Church by sharing the Good News with each other and taking it back out into our world. He also confirmed that the way to this was through the full and decisive participation of the laity in the life and mission of our Church.
During our sessions it came up over and over again that we need to gather up all the talents of our people and use them in our mission, and the idea was proposed and passed that we should have a diocesan wide inventory of talents and skills. This “Doing my Bit, Making it Happen” project is an invitation to you to volunteer yourself and your talents in the most natural way the survey suggests, with a little prayer to Our Lady of Paisley to bless your offering. We will then compile the inventory and make a commitment to be in touch with you to talk to you and put your offer to good effect in the diocese.
Our Church will be renewed insofar as we are all together sharing the Good News.
