May 23, 2025Parish Priests, Parish Safeguarding Coordinators and Safeguarding Team met on Thursday 22nd May for a joint Parish Priest & PSC Training Event at St. Mirin's Church Hall.
The collective safeguarding group discussed how to protect and keep people safe within our church communities in great detail.
Topics covered included promoting protection through prevention, the importance of good safeguarding governance within Parishes and introducing some local survivor support initiatives we intend to run later in the year.
Over 55 people were in attendance on the night, which was led in prayer by Bishop John as always for the continued care, support and compassion for all those affected by abuse.Thought For the Month - May 2025We aim to implement best practice in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
