This Spring, the Catholic primary schools in Inverclyde have been involved in the
High Five Programme. The concept of being kind is explored with children of Primaries1, 2 and 3, using various books targeted at that age group and introducing the
Kindness Bear.
These experiences have been integrated into what the children are learning in
This is our Faith, our national Religious Education Programme
.
The High Five Programme has been developed by Alison Bunce, Director of Care at Ardgowan Hospice, as part of the
Compassionate Inverclyde initiative. . Bishop John is very supportive of the work of Ardgowan Hospice and is delighted that young children and their families are being introduced to the concept of
‘compassion’ in this very enjoyable way.
