As you know, the situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate. Palestinians are trapped in a devastating cycle of hope and heartbreak—waiting for ceasefires and aid, only to wake up to worsening conditions. It is not just physical torment, but deep psychological trauma. Survival is dangled like a mirage. The humanitarian system cannot run on false promises. Humanitarians cannot operate on shifting timelines or wait for political commitments that fail to deliver access.SCIAF has joined over 100 aid agencies in calling for the immediate delivery of life-saving aid. Governments must stop waiting for permission to act—every delay costs lives. SCIAF is working closely with Caritas Jerusalem to provide urgent food, medical care, and trauma support to those most in need.

While we recognise the enormous difficulties in getting aid into Gaza due to ongoing restrictions and insecurity, Caritas Jerusalem is still receiving donations and remains committed to the people of Gaza. They have staff on the ground, ready to deliver aid whenever the opportunity arises.

The UK Government must do more to push for an immediate ceasefire, unimpeded humanitarian access, and a long-term solution rooted in justice and dignity. SCIAF is actively campaigning on this issue and amplifying the call of more than 100 aid agencies demanding urgent action.
