In times of uncertainty we turn to Jesus our Saviour & Mary our Mother - we ask for their help and protection. This prayer to the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary seems to cover our needs as we petition for them for protection.

The UK has moved from the Containment to Delay phase and we have updated our clergy with further instructions around containment protocols in our parishes. Our strategy is to make the safety of our people and the interests of public health paramount, to act according to advice issued by the UK and Scottish governments, and to keep updated on the best scientific advice around the safe celebration of our Masses, Services and Functions.

Twenty years ago, an order of Catholic monks bought a small Orkney island where they could celebrate the Latin Mass. They are continuing a religious tradition which gave Papa Stronsay its name. Brother Nicodemus Mary loves to pray in private in the ruins of St Nicholas' Chapel. It dates back to the 11th Century, but this Orkney island's religious links run even deeper.

Government Consultation on Changing Legal Gender: The Scottish Government is consulting on new legislation around the ability to legally change gender.   Consultation closes on 17th March.
