The Diocesan Liturgy Commission will host a day aimed at supporting Children Liturgy groups in our parishes. The day starts with tea and registration at 11.15am, followed by talks from 11.30am onwards. The day will end at 2.30pm. There will be a series of talks on family engagement, the experience of a parish group, a look at resources, and information on safeguarding. Lunch will be provided. If you have any food allergies or intolerances, please bring your own packed lunch. All welcome to attend.

Bishop John invites you to fast and pray on the First Friday of each month to protect the unborn child and the flourishing of the Pro-Life movement so that our society will build an authentic culture of life. Join your priests throughout the diocese over the next 9 months for a Novena of Masses on the First Fridays as we pray for life! The Inaugural First Fridays for Life Mass will be offered by Bishop John on Friday, the 7th of October, at 7 PM in St Mirin's Cathedral.
Pause For Hope: an ecumenical service for all those affected by cancer to come together and pray Fr. John of St. Aidans, Johnstone would like to welcome all those affected by cancer to a prayer service on Sunday 9 October at 2.00pm. This service is to bring together those affected by all forms of cancer, their loved ones and carers; to help them to pray for themselves and each other, to remember dear ones lost to cancer, and to pray for those with responsibility for providing and allocating resources required in the investigation, treatment and care of patients with cancer. Members of all religious denominations and faiths are welcome as well as those with little or no religious faith. Tea and coffee will be available afterwards in the church hall - donations of home baking gratefully received.
